Micro crawler batteries

I was running my micro crawler but the stock batteries only last a few minuets and the portable charger is using loads of AA's. I was looking at the lipo's but the losi ones are fairly pricey and there 2 cells but I don't want loads of speed. Can I run a 1cell lipo in it or will there not be enough power. Will something like this be ok and what are other people doing for batteries?

Does the micro crawler have a built in lipo cut of because some say it does and some say it dosent. If anyone can shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated thanks

My brushless micro rally cars auto cutoff when the lipos get to 6v. Not sure if the crawler does though. Best to keep checking the voltage every few minutes on your first runs to see if it stops on its own.

In the micro t I used to run it until the car slowed down obviously. This used to be at about 6.2 volts.

This should fit your car. I used to use them in the micro t

I found out that the micro crawler does not have a lipo cut off in it and the cut off module is built into the losi lipo's. i found a video of someone running on 1s so the battery will work but does anyone know of an external lipo cut off or low voltage alarm for a 1 cell lipo?
