which motor is faster
which motor out of the below kv would be the fastest,
if the kv doesnt exist on a motor do not worry they are just examples, 8000kv 4400kv 3900kv 2300kv also if i were to put these in my 18th car what difference would i notice from each of the kv's and which would draw the most amps, thanks for any replies, . . . |
The highest number. The KV stands for K(1000)RPM per V(volt)
So an 8000KV motor and a 10V battery (for example) would mean that the motor would theoretically run at 80000RPM (without timing, etc) I hope that's clear?!!?! |
Obviously the faster the motor the faster the car, the less the runtime and the more current it will draw.

thanks all, with the above info and my research on the web i got my info needed, thanks again,

that chart doesnt seem right,i thought 8.5 turn was 4000kv
also a high kv motor maybe faster but surely its about usable speed,a high kv motor is faster yes but in a straight line and powers up with a bang in 1\18th scale i found 3900kv the most usable as torque is better and smoother throughout |
