Losi Xcelorin systems

are these too good to be true?

£130 from UK suppliers,
a good range of motors,
sensored,

has anyone got / had one?

if so, what are they like?

Mike Hudson 26-08-2008 02:50 PM

lots of people have them and from when i've asked what they are like i've been given very good feedback, they are a top speedo amongst lrp nosram and novak

rcluke 26-08-2008 02:54 PM

are the motors any good?

stegger 26-08-2008 02:56 PM

What do people think of the motors are they better suited to 2wd or 4wd, do they have a smooth power delivery?:)

Darren Boyle 26-08-2008 03:12 PM

£130!!!! You need to look at the prices on our website then..............

The feedback on them so far is great, the motor in particular is fantastic.

I run a 6.5 in my 2wd and a 4.5 in my touring car, both are very good

Chequered Flag Racing 26-08-2008 03:18 PM

Darren

do you know why the 10.5 is listed as mod & not included as a BL spec motor?

Southwell 26-08-2008 03:23 PM

Looking at them, are they just re-packaged novaks?

wow, £115 for the 6.5

Medders 05-09-2008 06:13 PM

which system would peeps recommend for a 4wd, the 4.5 or the 6.5?

Stange there is no 5.5

Darren Boyle 05-09-2008 06:18 PM

Glenn,

Not sure why the 10.5 is not shown as a stock class spec, it should be

Medders,

On a fast flowing track a 4.5 is good in 4wd but on smaller more technical curcuits a 6.5 would be better. I am led to believe that a 5.5 is on the way from them soon also according to inside info from Horizon

Gnarly Old Dog 05-09-2008 06:21 PM

I've run the 6.5T in my 4WD X-5 (19/108) and it didn't lack anything in terms of speed or punch.

In fact, it's a shame cos I couldn't use it as the excuse why I was so rubbish:woot:

Definitely thumbs up - the ESC is easy peasy to program with the smart card idea.

Preddy ran the 4.5T in his XX-4 at the BRCs last weekend and it looked scarily quick - mind you his cars always do...

Do you know if it was submitted? I guess from the point of view of anyone wanting to go spec racing, if it's not on the list it can't be used.

Darren Boyle 06-09-2008 03:06 PM

You would need to direct that questrion at David Spashett ay Horizon, he deals with all of that stuff.

Any further news on when the 5.5 system might be coming out?

Darren Boyle 19-09-2008 06:15 PM

Nothing more on it yet

MattW 19-09-2008 06:18 PM

The current Losi 10.5 doesn't meet the BRCA EB spec for spec motors.
