Great find, I wasnt even given one and I was one of the team, still was a good car evan with a crap setup and say that due to Mike Barton not allowing me to change that at the British Grand Prix I did perform quite well, and had a lot of interest from Brian Kinwald who came over and had a chat with me about it.

I remember seeing the adverts for these in RRC, back then I didn't understand the principle/advantage of the mid motor layout. Would be cool to make a new motor mount (save ruining the original) to accommodate an idler & run it - I bet it would be as good as anything modern in these high grip astro tracks we now race on! Say it's the latest must have car & everyone will want one!:D

Nice car Mick, shame it's just about Christmas time or I'd have been interested. I have to spend pennies on kids toys, rather than my toys...

Is it still for sale? :-)
If so, please send some more pictures to: bert.ytterhag@telia.com

In the Vintage 2WD Class I raced the Kyosho Maxxum-FF. I did not win...
Next time I will be more prepared.
I will(!) find parts to build a Cougar-2000 MID! :)

Need a chassis top deck for my fab 2000, cracked it a good few years ago! great fun car to drive, change the top brace at the back from the lump of plastic to something that allows more flex at the rear end and it makes a great racer

Contact my buddies at fibrelyte, link below. Send the items to them and they will make for you. Quality will be better than the original.

I have checked with FibreLyte. No problems, that can make FABIIX-chassis.
They have two versions: Standard and Option +12.5mm.

Does anyone have experience of short and/or long version?
Big difference?

Fab

I asked the question a long time ago about the length of chassis.didn' t get an answer from anyone. Current crop of 2wd seem to have longer chassis. Is that the one to go for?

What rear shock tower does the fab use? And what fixing points does it use as they are limited on the gearbox.
