Front Wheel's and Slim Tyres on B4.1

Hi,

Can you answer a question!

Only just started back to 2wd off road after 20 year break!

Looking to enter an indoor off road series this winter and want to fit Shumacher Slim Mini Pins in Yellow and or Shumacher Slim Stagger Ribs in Yellow compound to the front of my B4.1

Now i've heard that you have to cut the out rib off the wheel rim as the tyre is too small, is this correct or am i being told porky's

thanks for any info!

Mini pins fit the std front wheel fine, no cutting. Stagger ribs you do indeed mount to the outer rib normally and the inside of the middle bit, thus leaving the inner rib exposed that's best to cut off. You can tial fit it all though first before cutting anything.

Thanks for the fast reply chap!

What tyre inserts would you recommond to use for indoor on carpet with carpetted wooden jumps,

Rear Shumacher Mini Pins in Yellow ( Control Drive Tyre )

Front Shumacher Slim Mini Pins in Yellow
Front Shumacher Slim Stagger Rib in Yellow

Thanks again for your help

On front we used mini pins indoors on carpet and wood etc and kept stagger rib for use outside on astro - course you may have astro indoors and we may be missing a trick with our setups.

There are lots of good inserts around, a medium insert is fine, personally I like Mr O inserts but depends what your shop of choice stocks.

What club will you be racing at?
