Any more interest in under 13s - 2 heats?
 

In total we have 15 under 13s and this is obviously too many for 1 heat but not quite enough for 2 heats.

I really would like to accommodate the juniors as they are the ones that will come through in the next few years and we need to encourage them to race at bigger meetings as well as at club meetings.

If there are another 5 juniors that would like to race at the Chadderton meetings please contact me and I would run 2 heats of juniors.

If anyone reading this knows of others that may be interested - please pass on the information and ask them to get in touch.

Reminder: The class is 2wd and the cost is £10 for 2 rounds ie payment of £10 would be paid at rounds 1, 3 and 5.

Dianne, just a thought but is 15 too many for the under 13s? Given most are on 2.4 and have PT's, could there be one heat with 15 drivers?

The number on the rostrum might be a factor but given they are under 13's I wouldnt have thought that would be an issue?

As you say, they are the future drivers so it would be a shame to have to turn some away

I had thought about that and although they are probably slower than other cars, some of them are pretty good and can put in a few laps whereas others that are not as quick will need the bigger track so I am not sure.

It definitely needs some thought as to the best way to go with this one.

Some are much faster than others, 15 in one heat would be crazy.

The young ones are what it's all about as far as I'm concerned, my 2 lads will be racing in the not too distant future too :)

I'm gutted that my lad has no interest in racing:cry: Hes only 6, hopefully he will see the light when he gets a bit older.

I have now had another enquiry - which would take the numbers to 16 so as long as the numbers remain high we will put on 2 heats for the juniors.

We are going to need support with marshalling after these heats - the same as we do at the club - the more able can marshall on their own but the younger ones need an adult with them - I hope we will get the necessary support with this.
