Out Drive cup play on v3 Geared diff.

Hi Guys prepping my V3 for Petit and I've noticed play in my out drives. Do I Shim them it is defo not play in bearings should I shim them between the drive cup and the bearing?

Advice please as this is my first experience of geared diffs.

Up/down play or side-to-side?

Well with the diffs all in situ as they should be I can wobble the out drive up and down and front to back or round and and round if you take my meaning.;)

Just leave them as they are, I'm sure mine have been doing the same for over 2 years now, still on the first set of gears:thumbsup:

If its the outdrive for the driveshafts, Ie the ones that go to the hubs, its normal. Its because they run inside the rubber seal.

If its the input shaft, Ie the one that goes to the spur gear, thats not so good.
check bearings and shims.

Hope that helps!

Its the drive cups coming from the diffs to the drive shafts not the hub end.
