Mainly on the laydown the internal limiters are used for the front shocks. limiting them gives more on power steering as it stops the front lifting as much on power.

CVD driveshafts try and straighten up under acceleration, this makes the rear end stiffer and gives better forward drive.
UJs don't try and straighten up, therefore they go through bumps better...

For what purpose? At the nationals we run the shock tower stock. The only mod that we do is add 3mm at the top of the rear shocks to space them out from the tower to land better.

As above, too much drag brake will dip the nose, I run about 8% on my 2WD. Other stuff...
