Default Roll Centres

Hey dude!!!!

Now I'm very happy if anybody corrects me wrong here and I won't have a tantrum.

It's all about adjusting the cars roll centre. When I first starting running my B44 I found that the car rolled a lot when going round corners and as a result I had to dial out a lot of that roll. Oh....I run indoors on carpet using mini pins.

Adjusting the length of your camber links and raising/lowering the ball studs does the same thing, but when you play around with the height of the ball studs it has a more subtle effect than if you adjust the length of the camber links. Does that make any sense???

Have a look at this:

Less Roll: Shorter camber links/more washers under ball stud

More Roll: Longer camber links/less washers under ball stud

Adjusting Height of Ball Studs: Small adjustment

Adjusting Length of Camber Link: Big adjustment

As I wanted to have less roll I added a washer underneath the ball studs (front and rear) but I found that I had to turn the nut upside down so the nylon in it got a good grip on the thread and wouldn't come undone. So now I run with 3 washers under the ball studs for indoors on carpet.

Hope that is some help and right.

Andy
