i would say that its your speedo more than anything there mate. my b44 and now s44 can stop from full pace with a 5.5 in a matter of a couple of meters. sounds like your speedo is not set up correctly. i had this trouble with a mates car that sounds identical to yours. check you have the end points set into your speedo correctly. and also that the speedo is totally up to date.
the fact that it might or might not have a one way in the car isnt a factor in this because at that speed it would still stop the car instantly. its just the ballance of the car that it would effect. if you are still havin the troubles let me know cos i will find out the settings that i set my mates to that made that work
