The whities are a 1/8" o-ring, the CVA runs a 3mm o-ring - so they won't fit.
In my opinion the CVAs are very smooth with the standard o-rings. But that is mostly because the tolerances between the various parts are so large!
If you want a performance damper - you just have to get rid of the CVAs. They have effectively no damping action, and on top of that, after a couple of hard races they are virtually worn out as well!
