S.A.W i used to run tourers before i came back to offroad and found it so tough
at the end of the day it's personal preference. For me i'm going back to the B4.1 after running an X-6 and a squared. As cosie said see what everyone else is running at your club and look at part's availability at you local model shop. oOPle is the best place for anything you need to know mate so don't be afraid to ask.
I would start with 2WD mate because if you can master that then 4WD will come naturally.
