I think vintage class is a great idea.
Not sure about the rule on speedo and esc though. I just dont have any suitable.
I was thinking about buying a re release but i am not keen on using a silver can, or buying vintage electrics.
Maybe some motor limits may mean more drivers? Its not like i am going to put a 3.5 in a boomerang.
