I put all the access of receiver areial in my radio box then only feed a slight amount through the lid then goes in to a aerial tube
From 1 aerial tube i can get 3 lots out of 1 tube the reason for this is to protect the aerial from getting broken of the longer it is the more chance you have got to get it snapped of
I have done this for many years and had no problem with any range problem or interference
