I did run my 1/16 Shark around a couple of laps once, but to be honest the surface isn't ideal for the smaller scales. Indoors I think you'd get away with it, but outside the lumps and bumps are a bit too severe.
Why not pop down if your local, and see what goes on and what the drivers are using
