You can use quite a bit of boost and turbo timing without harm - its all down to setup and gearing 
Heck at talywain regional last year i ran the 6.5 with endball timing at max and also about 20deg total timing between turbo and boost and it didnt overheat even when the outside temp was 23 deg!!
The motor limits are conservative and as i say aslong as you dont use touring car type speedo settings its reliable  |
