I have a milling machine but its not cnc, the recesses in the chassis I milled. Some of the parts, like this "backbone" curve I cut by hand as in hacksaw and files.

Hi, yes im in the UK, couple of places on ebay sell sheets of 6082, also
http://www.ringwoodprecision.com/ are good for small bits.
