I do as Dan does - stick to one oil and then you at least know that the difference between weights will have the effect you are looking for. I don't think you could ever tell the difference between brands, because the tolerances on the pistons (holes and diameter) and the bores of the shock body, will give more difference in damping perforamnce than the oils.
