none of the good cells are totally safe. I am sure just placing them in a tin or even a tupperware box would hinder an explosion.
Repeaking a just charged warm pack I think is asking for trouble, but one that has rested a day, no problems, I do that most times I race, just don't get the time in the day to charge, but the cell is always cold going on and only luke warm after.
