I'd try stretch and get a second hand KO Propo Esprit 2 or Esprit 3 Universe. they are excellent. old 40mhz variants can be easily converted to use the FRSky 2.4Ghz system, with £13 receivers available, or you can find them with spektrum or KO modules. There are plenty for sale if you look.
