this is just a quick rear body mount i made in 5 mins, just nicked a bit of lexan out of the back of the shell ( about 40mm x 60mm )
then cut it length ways, put a 90 deg bend in it 10 mm from the edge and pinched it between the cradle and chassis, bit of velcro on the shell and mount and jobs done :-)
one either side and that suckers going no where ! if i had more lexan i would of made them the length of the cradle tbh !

I don't suppose the new 'wezzer' shell might have an undertray to go with it as well? If not, could it? Just thinking I'd like to protect that black anodising from damage...

Do I win anything for spotting the fact that there was no antenna mount in the box?? Or is it just my kit thats missing it?? lol

Just need my lipos to turn up so I can finish the build.

The Vega didnt come with a aerial mount either, I used one from my Durango radio plate, looks nice and neat and takes a bolt straight up the middle of it.

Tried a alloy aerial mount but they dont seem to grip the aerial tube that well.

There silver aluminum clips with servo tape on the back. They've been around for years.

Weren't the blue spacers meant for the wing mount not the ball studs?? Altho looking at the instructions there were meant to be spacers on both the wing mount AND the ball studs even tho there was only 1 set of spacers included.

Ive used 3 mm spacers for ball studs (not in kit, just my preference) and I have used the 2mm spacers for wing mount. All parts were in the kit. All went very well together, still few tweaks to do, overall very pleased with purchase

Some further pics for further interest.

I'm jealous - my kit is sat on my workbench at home while I waste the day at work

Still, we got our TORCH AGM tonight so maybe no-one will notice if I sit in the corner and build it while the rest argue
