Yep sore that everone was drilling the tower and moving the link in to help with grip so just had a go the mounts use the ball link home and a hole that holds tower to bulkhead so no drilling of the tower

This mod is designed to work with the narrow pivot blocks. When making the block several measurements have to be accurate. First thing is that the ball stud has to be exactly vertically inline with the hinge pin below it. It needs to be able to achieve a ball height the same as third hole up on the c4.2 tower. This geometry creates a replica of the b4.2 rear end with the inner camber link in the inner hole with the brace shaved flat. This is what the team wanted (and achieved) on the cars at the worlds. If you have managed to do this with your blocks then wicked. They look good. If you can make some to achieve the above then you are onto a winner!!

I have milled more off the top so the ball stud is on the 3rd hole on the tower now so have to give it a try on the track, at the worlds they had a diff rear tower that was easyer to attach the block

Hi Lloyd,
Interesting thread.
We tried our C4.2 for the first time yesterday in a sports hall mainly polished hard floor with some carpet areas. Very loose at the back, even on carpet; no changes seemed to help. We didn't have the problem with the C4.1.
The inner camber link pivot line on C4.2 looks the same as the C4.1. The balance of the car must be quite different.
Other people with C4.2 had the same issue.
I hope your idea works for you.
Ed

Going to run my C4.2 for the first time on the 12th. Wondering if i need to do this mod?

Track is mainly carpet with a few loose sections.

How do I identify if my car has the narrow pivot blocks?

The mod is for lower grip tracks. For High grip carpet the standard c4.2 holes work really well.
The narrow pivot blocks are at the min only available from ghea and are raw aluminium in colour as apose to the standard width blocks that are anodised black. ( the proto parts at the worlds were made by either ae or a small us company whose name I forget but they were black).

Put the JConcepts 2323-1/2323-2 back end on the C4.2 then you have a B5M FT
