Default minis

Hello.
I heard some folk say that it may be a good idea for the minis to go back to black cans so the competition is either closer or fairer.

Personally I dont mind what happens but can we please not go back to black cans as they are expensive at £18 new. Can we please use Ansmann Clash motors that are available for £7.95 delivered. They even have a fan in them to help with cooling so they should last longer. I dont even mind if we went to silver cans that come with the kits as I remembr these being a lot of fun to race as well.

Thought I would mention this incase the motor change was going to happen at any comitee meeting.

Chris.

Remember Chris, we tried having rules in the mini class, but people just bent them so it wasn't fair.

Only way it will be fair is if 10kits are bought and built at the same time, and no tweeking is allowed

It's been made open, so there is no arguments and also to allow Mardave cars and the Hpi Switch (now discontinued).

all motors can be seen being raced to various results, im currently using a 6.5t but turned down a hell of a lot, cos its the only motor ive got available.

yh it means it can be unfair at times but it also means it can be cheaper cos you use what ever you have got that fits.

if you buy a second hand one and it comes with non std bits it means its allowed...

I really dont mind what happens but wanted to mention it so I could be heard before a decision is made. As I understand it, a decision wasnt even going to be made but I just wanted to make sure.

Next week i will use an elastic band and still kick ass.

I heard "squirrel-power" is environmentally friendly, and pretty quick off the line (not so much for endurance).
