Default Timing equipment

With all the talk about the new RC4 timing equipment I just want to check if Stotfold MCC has updated their system?

Only asking as I have an MRT transponder.

This will happen, once the winter series has been completed.

Thanks

Adrian
Joined just before christmas but not had any chance to get down yet (infact still havent got my electrics put in yet and haven't recieved my brca card or membership through).

With regard to PT's, am I better off ordering the RC3 Harry or the RC4 Percy if the timing is going to be updated in April. If I go ahead and get the RC4 Per y, will it work on the current system aswell as the upgraded system after April.

The 'Harry' will work on RC3 & RC4.

The 'Purcy' will only work on RC4.

Personally i would go for the 'Harry' as it enables you to race at clubs that use either RC3 or RC4.

Just been reading up on the new RC4 system and they reckon that the new Purcy transponders will work on both RC3 and RC4 systems. Can anyone at Stotfold clarify this for me please. Also if thats the case, does the club get them any cheaper.

Sure I read it on their site and there is a thread on here I have been reading. If its not the case then I will go with gonks advice and get the Harry which should work on the RC4 system. Can Stotfold get them any cheaper.
