Default Kyosho SCORPION.

Now who doesn't love these cars! A while back I went 'Scorpion mad' and searched high and low buying up cars and spares to build up a few of these great old buggies. This is the first of a few I have nearly finished. I still intend to paint the lettering on the tyres, finish the driver and rear wing and ofcourse fit the electrics too. Fitted with bearings I'd imagine this car will run far smoother than when it ran the bushings.

I have a scorpion, at least it was a scorpion I need a new gearbox for it after it broke. I don't suppose you have a case you'd sell do you? or know anyone with one?

btw is that a new repro wing on the back? anyone make shells for it?

Is this the same chassis as the tomohawk? now that really is a nice looking buggy - I think some one in Japan made a load of body shells for that car?

Jimmy,

Maybe this can help you:

http://www.2dehands.be/kyosho-tomaha..._model_type=18

I wasn't interested in it tho due to too old and me not having enough parts.

Jimmy,

check Marwan (Integra Fan) at TamiyaClub:
http://www.tamiyaclub.com/trades.asp?id=5484

He's doing some of the finest repros for many vintage Kyoshos including Turbo Scorpion. He's from Kuwait.

cheers
Kai

Jimmy this body came from Kamtec as he does the original Scorpion shells. Markwan does the Turbo Scorpion body sets with the decal sheet too. I have 2 of those and ther are great also.
I just traded all my left over Sorpion parts with Darryn (retro r/c),he may want to sell some of it.

Very nice

I've noticed a couple of Turbo Scorpions on ebay lately - NIB - going for around US$1000

The worst think about these cars (and the similar AYK cars) is trying to polish up all the alloy bits - I've got a Bobcat that is still in bits because it takes forever to polish one bloody chassis rail or plate
