Default New Durga shell

Right chaps - need some help on this one.

I've been in touch with Keith Dowsett who runs Kamtec and keeps me supplied with Mardave banger shells. Now Kamtec also do some replica lexan buggy shells (check them on eBay) for a decent (read realistic) price.

Now with Durga shells seeming to be either rarer than hens teeth, stupidly expensive, or both, I explained to Keith that there is a ready market for a Kamtec produced Durga shell as the DB-01 is such a popular chassis right now.

Keith has said to me that he will happily produce a replica shell - but he needs a new uncut one to make a master from. If anyone has one that they would be willing to loan to Kamtec - and you'll get it back undamaged with a suitable reward - please can you PM me and I'll put you in touch with Keith (all round good egg).

And the best part.........Keith reckons on about £13 for the Kamtec shell.

Over to you guys. Someone must have one waiting to be painted that they can lend out for a week or 2?

Cheers,

Dave.

That's great news, however, a shell based on the Baldre would be better in my opinion. It follows the chassis more closely so offers better weather protection.

I'm sure Keith would be able to make some subtle changes if that's what the masses wanted. Just need blank shell from someone......

The Baldre shell surely looks nasty compared to the slinky Durga! Hope someone can come up with a new one

Can you find out Dom? And if it's free to be donated in the short term I'll put you in touch with Keith at Kamtec.

As my painter is lazier than me it's safe to say that it will still be in the packaging sat in his kitchen.

I have a spare NIP Durga shell that I'd be willing to loan. PM me if you want me to send it to Kamtec. I presume we are all keeping schtum about copyright infringement blah blah blah.

How about a hybrid shell, looking Durga-ish but following the chassis like the Baldre?
The Baldga or possibly Durgre...

As DCM has said, I won't be buying a copy of the Durga, I've already got two that flow more water than Niagara Falls...

Well I'm sure the upper face of the shell could be Durga, and the lower thrid to the Baldre thing, I mean how hard can that be?

Is the Durga shell really that bad if you trim the bottom line that sticks close to the edge of the tub?

Cheers!

that rear of the shell don't help, but it is how far away from the chassis it comes, in front of the motor, and on the other side.

Gotcha, just had a look at that on mine, I never put the foam there, but I guess that doesn't help all that much. Mmmmm.
