Smile SCOTTISH BORDER TRACKS, PRACTICE & RACING.

Hi there.

Pretty new to the world of RC racing and perhaps a little bewildered!

I live in the Scottish Borders and I am looking for some tracks or places of practice close by.
My bro got me racing and I have been travelling down to York and further reaches, been great, but, not wholey viable all the time when you want to practice!

I would love to hear of any practice and race venues within an hours drive of Kelso. I'm about 38 miles south of Edinburgh and 70 miles north of Newcastle if that helps!? Both of which within reach.

I am using a Schumacher SX3 4wd. Any info or pointers in the right direction would be a great help.
If there aren't any tracks near by and there's demand - speak up!! We at be missing a trick!

I hope someone out there can help!

Cheers
Jamie

There's not much in Scotland Jamie. At the moment there is only one permanent track for 1/10th scale and that's in Sutherland. (Around 30 miles North of Inverness) You'd probably be quicker travelling down to York. There is one in Fife but that is getting rebuilt at the moment.

Pretty dull I know but that's yor lot.

That's great! thanks Davie, I'll take a look.

That sort of distance is doable no problem.
My wife's from Glasgow so regularly across there too, any advice on this area appreciated also.

That doesn't sound so good Dave!

How can Scotland be serviced so badly? Is there not much demand?

Seems a shame. I don't want to take it seriously but want to have fun! If I have to travel a little so beit. Seems a shame in the landof off roading tho! *per say!! *
