Default The new look Batley Buggy Club track

Well as you all know and can see from previous posts, over the past few months we have been working hard to transform the outdoor track and bring everyone somewhere up to date, the track committee as been hard at saurcing the things we needed, and we have had plenty of help getting the track to were it is now, we would like to thank everyone that as lent an hand along the way, it is very much appreciated and it as helped to get the track ready a lot quicker ... altho the place is 98% done, Today 26/04/2015 marks a new day for the club, now let's get everyone talking about Batley Buggy Club for all the right reasons :thumbs up:

The new looking track then got a little bit of use in the sun for some track layout finding.
If the video works :-/

Please watch the clubs page and Facebook page for up and coming race dates and other information regarding the club

Superb effort chaps (and chappesses).
Didn't know there was a work party today or could have come down for a few hours this morning.

Track looks brilliant. Well done all

Just want to say a "big thank you" to all those who have helped create this great looking new track..
Particularly Ian and Danny, who seem to have been the driving forces , ably assisted by the likes of James and John .....very well done to you all...!
Unfortunately I have been out of action the past three or four weeks due to an eye operation but hope to be able to sample the results of your efforts soon.
I particularly like the look of the new centre section and almost unlimited variety of potential layouts..
Let us hope that this will attract lots of support for Batleys meetings..

Just had a 20 min play while son at swimming lesson. Track is superb - even with bald tyres on my "messing about" bmax2 the grip was great. Track was damp from earlier rain but was still plenty of grip and superb to drive on.
Roll on the outdoor season.
There were a few smashed beer bottles so I cleared them. Well, you don't want a puncture now do you?

Smashed beer bottles....😱...never mind your tyres, we don't want the astro getting cut up...!
Anything to be gained by fencing off the track and, possibly, gating the rostrum..?

Quite!!
I removed 2 pringle tubes, the broken glass, approx. 6 carling cans and a plastic cider bottle before I started. Interesting place to have a party...

It is a sad fact that there will always be those who don't respect other peoples stuff. While I was there tonight there were 3 cars belonging to parents of swimmers at the 6-7 session that were broken into while in the car park and stuff stolen.

The track was once fenced by all accounts until someone nicked the fence. So may need a little more thought than just wood and nails.
