Default Bury Metro Regional - May 3rd

Booking in will be open from 9.30am.

Controlled practice from then or as soon as the track is out thereafter, timed sessions, tickets for practice will be handed out at booking in.

2wd & 4wd.

Any driver who has competed in a NE or MW regional already can compete in the NW points series also, but must run the alternate class. Remember any driver claiming points in the same class over two regions will be removed from both points listings.
If you want to compete as a 'non-region' driver then thats fine, but you must let it be known at booking in - you will be sorted in a seperate final at the end of the day.

Please remember to bring your BRCA membership card.

Not coming to sunny Anglesey then!

Don't blame you looking at the weather down there.

Default Wheelchars!?

Hi, I'm coming to the meet on the 3rd with SRCC. However i'm in a wheelchair, just wondering what the drivers podium access is like? Can anyone shine a light on the subject?
Cheers

It's similar to Southport, standard steps with good hand-rails. They are maybe a little wider than at Southport.

The track profile is quite different to Southport in that the highest point is not at the back - it's a hump in the middle.
From trackside parts may be partially hidden from view-

Most of the pitting at Bury is on a field, there is some pitting behind the rostrum on a hardstanding area.... i would recommend you get on there.

Not too sure on exact timings - we normally just play it as it goes.

Controlled practice will be 10am to 11am approx.

I imagine heat 1 of qualifying will be on the line about 11am.

The weather will do what it will do.

Those that know the Bury track will be well aware of how good it is in damp/wet conditions, due to being primarily astro. It’s fairly clean when wet also – which is nice – you don’t end up racing a mud-ball.

Meetings have only ever been cancelled when monsoon conditions arrive. It drains very well indeed, and dries very fast after a shower.

I am coming over with two others to do the non regional class. Hope the weathers kind!

Good race today - Well done to Stu Evans for taking the 4WD win, his first regional win apparently.
