Optima needs driveshaft, axle, hub mounting screws, hex and wheel (I got only
3 wheels). I haven't checked everything yet (especially drivetrain internals) so
there might will be more parts to replace.

I'm bit on tight budget at the moment so as I see it - it will be project for longer
period of time
Your Lazer seems in good condition; there is a lot of dirty but the condition seems good .

The steering block of the Lazer are the same as the optima ones, so you will not need them (you got the original zx ones in alu).
You also got an MKII chassis, a custom front diff cover (nice!) and a Welshy design front shock tower (from fibre-lyte).

You will need for sure a complete wing mount and a decent rear shock tower ...

For the rusty dogbone try the WD40 .

P.S. You can download all the instruction manuals you need here:

Thank you very much.
This car was bought long time ago from what I know (more than 10 years) and was only taken out of basement recently so all parts are old.

I want to complete both cars at some point and I belive that I'll use alloy steering blocks on Optima, so I'll need plastic one for Lazer.
I've got complete wing mount it's just disassembled for now.
Don't know anything about rear shocktowers - only that there is engraved "ATP".

Well the gearbox on the front thats blue is an MMS dyed one and is almost unbrakeable and quite frankly a brilliant design.

Steering arms are easily obtainable and the shock towers and chassis and top deck can be bought from fibre lyte. Best bet would be to buy the standard kit item shock tower for the rear and front if you want to replace it so you can make the car almost as per the original kit as it does look superb when standing on a shelf. If racing keep the front as it is you wont break it.

You can replace the centre top deck holder with two silver poles as it just looks more appealing especially if on display.

GT85 would be a better option instead of wd40 as this can also be used to wash the bearings out with as it does the opposite of WD40 and doesnt keep the dirt in. I also use on the UJs.

Well it's destiny isn't decided yet. I'll might give it a run sometime at least I want to make it runnable. Cars were meant to be ran not to be on shelf IMO.

To WD40 and GT85 - I've got both, but I'm using only teflon obtaining lubes on my bearings - GT85 and TF2 are weapons of choice for me.

Target is clear - I want to make both cars complete, but it seems like long way to go for me at the moment.

Well if its a runner then replace the rear shock tower for a carbon fibre zxr version from fibre lyte. keep the front you have as its superb (that is if it isnt cracked).

Replace the centre top deck holder with the poles (lots of people did this mod) as it gives more space on the chassis and is stiffer.

If racing on high grip i would recommend a 7 degree castor block on the front. I believe someone made a B44 lipo tray fit but if you want one I have designed a single saddle pack tray (you will need two of theses for a saddle pack) with fibre lyte. Its thin and flimsy but does the job.

Also put a metal bar between the rear wing mount sides as this also strengthens that and gives it much more life as it doesnt bend.

I would also put associated ball joints all over as they are easier to work with. I moved my front top link on the front castor block to the very inner edge so I could use a ball joint. I didnt like the way the kit worked with the link in that position. The car feels much more responsive with the positioning moved. I will post a piccy of mine for your reference.

Iso,

MMS are no more but guess who makes one almost identical, dyna. I had the very first and is a work of art. maybe you should get some from him, but doubt they would be blue though.

The rear suspension mount has ATP stamped on as the original broke and I got a guy at British Aerospace where I worked at the time to do me a copy based on the original, ATP are the guys initials. Your all correct about the gearbox, leave it on as everyone changed them at our club.

The shell comes with only a wing (its part of the mold at the back) but not with an undertray. A standard ZXR undertray will work with it without any problems.

Default LA26 plus other parts..

Guys, I just found a nice stock of LA26 at a very reasonable price in France.
Three of them are already coming to Italy, but the others are still there for sale .

If someone is interested just drop me a PM .

Bye
Ema
P.S. The seller also got a couples of other parts, if I remember right some OT6 (rear dogbones) and a LA60 (Zx-r MKII chassis).

I'm hoping you can help me ID this.

I really regret selling my ZX-R, so I've been looking for one.

Thanks in advance!

Yes definitely a ZX. Wishbones give it away and those shock towers and alloy steering knuckles and the real giveaway was the two piece top deck. Nice car and my favourite.
