Neil, for some reason all the images have vanished when I open your thread? I can still see images in other peoples threads so it seems to be confined to yours.
Have you changed something or is it just me?

Update - suddenly everything is back

I've never had a shell professionally painted before but having purchasing a Yokomo YZ-2 earlier this week with the intention to returning back to club racing after some time, I decided to give Neil a go (having been impressed with the pieces on this thread).

Neil turned around the shell in a couple of days and the quality of his work looks superb. I decided to go with 'box colours' and look forward to receiving the shell on Tuesday next week.

Highly recommended.

N Design are pleased to bring you the first UK painted Proline shell called The Predator, this is for the brand new Team Associated RC8 B3.
The shell is painted in Jamie Clancy's colours, and we wish him good luck with his first outing with the new car this weekend.
Cheers Neil.

Thank you sir, it's based on the customers original design, but with classic flames and hex mesh background.

This is amazing work...
So so cool!!
Asking a silly question...
What have you found to be the best way to cut your shells out? And what with?

Thanks Stucartwright,I use a scalpel and sharp blades, most of the time I use RCS liquid mask, the rest is just practice, try and make your cuts flow, turn the shell as you cut as well as turning the knife.

Excellent tip...
Thanks so much.
I assume your work is all airbrushed? Do you used any form of stencils?

I just love the attention to detail.
Particularly the little logo you put in the bottom right of each post to match the colour scheme of the latest shell you have painted :-)
