Default Simple & effective paint jobs?

Hi all,

I want to do a nice paint job on my B4 shell.. I have tons of rattle cans in various colours, a roll of Tamiya Masking tape, but no inspiration!!

Can anyone show me any simple, effective paint can jobs I can do? Nothing too hard to do though please.

hi tom, it all depends what you like.just list a few things down. do you prefer straight or curved lines on a shell? light colours or dark? you can do some really good shells with spray cans, just take your time and enjoy doing it.as for inspiration, you can get it from anywhere, its just taking an image or something you've seen(poster/advert/i used a for sale sign the other week),and twisting it about to fit it onto a shell. for instance take the 'post reply' logo on here.you could go a white front end(slanted square shape)light blue shaded into a darker one with a yellow/ brown stripe up the side and over the roof???

Thanks Clunk.. Might look for inspiration on my travels today. I like simple, but powerful designs really, hopefully some more folks will post up some pics. I'm going to send my difficult designs to a pro sprayer, but I'm quite happy to have a go at the simpler ones, just not sure what that'll look like in my head

Here come a selection of simple design!

The two attached are on pan car but that can be helpful to have some ideas

The following on is a bit old school but looks so nice!

Basically, 2 or3 colors, straight lines or slightly curves ones, strips to separate 2 colors and that looks goods!

I think you can't go wrong with the old "Factory" Associated look, design nice and simple like Pavidis' below but obviously with your choice of colours, i used this for the last 3/4 years i raced and just changed it slightly.

Althought it's not an RC car (yet, hopefully going on the B4 ) This is a fairly simple and effective design I did for myself:

Thats nice.. and looks easy enough.

I was actually inspired last night looking through the site by Jimmy's BJ4 WE paint job - although I'll probably lose the red flames.. seems everyone has flames these days, i reckon a cleaner look might suit my RC10
