Default Fire at Gil Losis home

On Jan 24th a fire in Gil Losis garage, which was also used as Gil Jrs workshop, took out 30 years of r/c history stored in there, including Losis hand built prototypes and all the memorabilia stored in there.
It is suspected the cause of the fire was his lipo batteries, which were high quality packs not cheap Chinese ones.

I've just shown that first post to my wife, even she said "oh dear, that is very sad".

Yep not great news for such a high profile family, and lots of lost history, but luckily no personal injury....

But how can you not remember if you left a battery charging and overnight!?!

IF a battery is not in use or being charged then only a wiring fault could start this surley????

Once a fire is started then no battery is safe and the 'bangs' heard were probably the other batts going off.

Either way think mine will living in the ammo box asap
