Although most changes are to the rear end, quite a few parts are different. Here is what I know:

New rear suspension featuring:
- Longer wishbones (75mm)
- Longer dogbone
- New rear upright
- New wheel axle
- Smaller outer bearing
- Narrower offset hex
- Outer hinge pins are bolt+nut (TLR-style)
(Less toe-in using the inserts, hangers themselves are the same)

+3mm chassis
Sidepods with integrated fan mount
HTC / 3-plate Slipper (Manual says HTC slipper but only displays 2 plates)

For the dirt the changes are slightly different:
- 27.5mm shock bodies (like the B6D, the .1D has 31mm)
- Longer wishbones (73mm)

It also features the new rear upright, wheel axle, outer bearing, hinge pins and HTC slipper, as well as including both the layback and laydown casings. However, dogbones, hexes and the chassis length stay the same as on the B6.1D.

As such, a conversion to B6.2D suspension on your B6.1 is likely cheaper and easier than the B6.2. When converting I would check the online manuals side to side to be sure you order everything you need, I heard stories that there are a few B74 parts on it (rear-upright related I think?) that were not listed as new parts in the announcement.

The B74 parts are the rear hub mounts, but different hubs on the B6.2 and the B74.

You can use the 6.1 axels if you use the 6.1 outer bearings, that way you can keep the option of using either axel hole instead of buy two 6.2 axels
Reason for this is due to TLR having the copyright on the two hole design and AE were allowed to use it until they launched a new buggy, then they had to give it up.

The rear hubs are different to the b74 btw.

I asked CML this yesterday and was provided the following list:

This list doesn’t however include the optional side guards with a fan mount, the part number for this item hasn’t changed, but any new stock will feature this mount as standard. The part number for the optional front wing isn’t on the list either, but you may wish add this should you convert your B6.1.


I also ordered additional spacers as I dont believe I would have enough.
