Default Racing Sunday 3rd Feb

Hi everyone,

I now have my vintage losi xx up and running (!) It has brand new electronics and tyres, new front suspension arm, set up back to manual starting setup and is nice and quick! Probably far too quick for me but still... p.s. anyone have a set up sheet for losi xx for indoor carpet?

Anyway, I'd like to try it out on Sunday, but as I don't know anyone, and have been out of the game for a while I was thinking I'd just come down to get her on the track for a single race or two, will this be ok?

What time should I arrive? It'd be good to have 5-10 min track time before any racing, and to do do a race or two if I don't smash it into a wall in the warm up!

Cheers

Sam

Booking in is around 10ish and you can practice after booking in. You might as well enter the meeting because your first meeting is free anyway!
Just ask someone to direct you to Si and I'll show you the ropes.

Default newbie!

Hi Si,
I plan on coming to the meet this Sunday too although as a complete novice lol,
I have 2 2700mah lipos for my Vantage, would you consider 2 batteries enough for the day?

Your 2 lipos are fine - if you have one of the "normal" fast chargers (2.7A) in your case. If not someone will charge them for you through the day.

Default chargers

Yeah I do have a fast charger so that's all good, although I don't have a long extension cable! I'll bring what I have anyway, thanks for the heads up

I can help with charging Si dependant on connector type.
I've also got some stick lipos we don't use now. I'll take them and donate them to the club if that helps (If I can remember).

As a novice myself, we should help each other out a little - I'm running a blue/white/black losi xx - see you there!

I'm actually only bringing one lipo, but it's 5100mah so I'm hoping I'll get away with it... Are there any spare tables and chairs there? I don't have any (I think).

There aren't any tables to borrow as far as I'm aware but there are spare benches you could sit on.

As for foams, we design a multisurface track with carpet, crash mat and slippery floor sections so while the foams will be great on the carpet they will offer nothing at all on the gym floor. Ideally you want minipins for the rear but minispikes are known to work also.
