Default Itchy fingers

I don't know about you lot but I'm getting itchy fingers and can't wait to get racing. I've spent a fortune this week new speedo new motor new servo they where £350 alone but I think it will be worth it . When I'm picking the pieces up at the end of the straight.

You missed new chassis off the list.......

Perhaps we'd better not make the jumps too high!

Hopefully the Durga wont give me much trouble through the heats as in breakages, so i`ll have a mess around with the slash.Matt have you got some more lead that you could bring with you as i wouldn`t mind adding some weight too it, think i`m gonna take it tomorrow and hopefully have a little test with it and see how it holds up! the problem will be that the tracks gonna be mega grippy so the grip roll the slash has will be amplified indoors.Just thought.... drift wheels would help

Ive got an x12 5.5 and it just gets very very hot. My x12 6.5 and 8.5 come back at about 50 to 60 C but the last time I ran the 5.5 it came back at 120c after 7 mins with melted solder and a dry front bearing. Ive swapped the sensors over and checked the windings and theyre all fine but its just a very hot motor. Deffenately recomend the 6.5 over the 5.5 .

If its the new batch of x12's then it should have the 0000 insert pre installed ( -10 degs), if not make sure you put it in, this should make it run cooler . I think mine was geared a bit high but its in my Tourer now so I'll have to wait till next season outdoor to see if the lower timing and better gearing has worked. Let me know how you get on with yours then I know if its me or the motor .

Default bring it on......

am ready to roll as well am going to see how she runs though the heats and take set up from there i reckon drop her on her ass for no grip roll that seems to work, its going to be interesting no pressure on the 2wd then, see shanks is stoking the fire or ready with the tamiya clan.

Si`s X11 motor did the same thing as MRD`s, the solder melted but hey it is Si it reached 105 ish then game over! Is there an option with the setup you have Dave to adjust the motor timings ie via the motor or the speedo i`m guessing yes so if i were you i`d drop it down to low/normal and see how it goes... i have been advised from losi on 2s lipo`s with 4.5T no higher than normal on the motor timing , as i`ve had 2 speedo warranties now

Default Timing

I'll pass that info on to my tech department(ie matt and ty) and I'm sure everything will be fine if it gets hot I'll drop to 18 pinion instead of the 19 easy
