Default Predator XRS

Hello!

I recently talked to a guy that wants to trade away his Pred XRS! Now I just need to wait for him to reply if he wants to trade it for my home-made crawler project that I didn't finished. It seems like it's going to be a trade!

But the Pred he trades isn't fully ready to go. There are missing some parts and a diff is slipping. Not so much although. But anyway, I'm going to order the missing and broken parts if there will be a trade. At the same time I will order some parts that usually breaks during a crash for example. But I don't have any idea which parts I should get for the Pred. A-arms I don't think I need because I'll get a whole extra set of A-arms. But what else? Thanks!

Also, it might be worth buying one of the bulk packs of wheels?

These are great value for money, and will keep you going for a long while.

Hope this helps,
Andy

very true!... but go for either the orange or black ones, the white ones are fragile, they cost me a qualifier on sunday

they do a x10 spares pack which includes the above plus more except the spur gear so i'd just get that and a couple of of x11 spurs.

" RACE SPARES PACK X10

£25.52

Essential Spares Pack To Have Includes: 1 Of Each Wishbone 1 Set Of Wheels 2 Of Each Upright Standard Ball Joints Long Standard Ball Joints "

Here is the spares pack good value with some vital spares .. maybe this would be worth a go like Col300 says, buy a couple of spure gears ( X11 ) too and maybe a gearbox top too and see how you get on..

Wil you be racing he car, or is it just for bashing ?

Garry

I saw that happen. It just sort of disintergrated with 3 big cracks across the wheel.

I'd just like to point out, that the reason this happened is all Wheel Drive Disc's were actually put on back to front and so instead of supporting the wheel it just caused friction. This was the case for all of the car's who had wheels that cracked.

it also had a LOT to do with how hard he hit the kerb during his warm-up lap!!!!

apart from that though, the car was looking very good by the end of the day but sounding a little rough!
it appears to be a big improvement over the X10, which is good.

Thumbs up

Thanks a lot guys! I appreciate the help you give me. Let's just hope I get the Pred! It really seems to be a nice car, I love it!

I'm not going to race seriously. I would if I had the opportunity but unfortunately here aren't any 1:10 electric buggy races in the Southern part of Finland. Just in the north and of course the Wasa Cross but that's all. So the car is mainly going to be used for racing with my friends and at the local club track.

funny thing was, i noticed that on the second lap, there was a small hole in the wheel, and i drove a bit slower to try and make the wheel last the race, but in driving slower, i was going quicker overall, if that makes sense?

Not sure how you can put the drive disc's on the wrong way round, must have done the wheels up really tight to actually get any drive. Never had a problem with the x10 wheels think they are plenty strong enough. Although I guess it does come down to what you hit with them.

not any tighter than normal.... the other side of the disc is just flat, so it doesnt make a difference... only thing is you dont get the support from the raised area on the disc into the wheel, which in turn makes it weaker...

Why do they continue to make a different fitment of wheels, pretty much every other car used the std losi/ae hex and pins.

To me the X10 / X11 wheel fitment looks far stronger than a losi or AE fitment as ive seen Losi wheels especially the fronts strip alot. Ive never heard of a predator wheel strip on the later cars with this fitment.. but could be wrong.

Because the offsets are different IIRC, so to make use of Losi style wheels would entail a complete suspension re-design, amongst other reasons.

I tried my X11 rear wheels on my X-6 and the off-set is alot, so if losi wheels was used it would be an opasite effect making the wheel base mega wide ?
