Big thanks to you Andy, I can't think of many people who would loan out their new car that's only 5 mins old. I can safely say your generousity kept me in the B final.

Cheers mate, see you next week.

Last meeting of the year! Track looks good, but I can't drive it for toffee.

Catering had a LOT to be desired - after seeing a bacon sandwich amongst other things I didn't brave it.

Stotfold... my best result of the year (I think)!

Saved the best to last, used one of my old BX's because it was wet and dirty out there (couldn't let the 'bling' BX worlds get all muddy). I didn't touch the car all day and it hadn't been touched for a good three months prior to this event (it was covered in dry mud before I even started) and other than changing the cells I managed 7th in the I final with it... which for me is good!!

I've come to the conclusion that I drive best in the wet, let's hope for more rain next year

Thanks to everyone at the club and BRCA officials, another good, fun days racing.

Default greetings from belgium!

Hi all!

I would like to thank a lot of people, and I will forget some for sure...

But I'll try: Thanks Paul Worsley for all the help before and during the event, Jacky for being so nice and helpfull, John Spencer and the rest from the shop for the generator etc..., Brian for lending me his XXX4, Stuart for his XX4, Dan Greenwood, Charlie & Andy Fraser, Grant Williams, Kevin Lee, Simon Reeves & Jonathan for the help and the interest you guys showed, the people behind the mic trying hard to pronounce my name , Jimmy & Vicky & Stuart (again) for the distraction during the hard racing day (please spare us a bit in the report...), and everyone else who came to talk to us!

The race was great, I learned a lot, and was very impressed with the level of competition you guys have there. I expected it to be tough, but it was really beyond everything I could imagine. I can't believe how you guys can run so well after 6 minutes of practise (ok some will have had more but still). The euro's are far easier than your nationals...

I loved the track! In Belgium on astro we are used to very smooth surfaces, this one was a little bumpy with all kinds of features in cool places, especially liked the little 'banked' corner in the middle of the track

4wd was a disaster, as I never ran one and dropped out in 2/4 qualifs with some weird technical problems, and ran one with a broken one way diff...

2wd was a lot better, but never expected this kind of spanking... But come over next year to our GP and I will try to take revenge

Here you can find 2 vids from the I and F final 4WD:

I must say a big thank you to all who signed my get well card and everyone who wished me well on Sunday very much appreciated. Again a big thank you to all who helped Grant out over the weekend and all the offers of help, he even made the A final in 2wd without me.

Thank you also goes out to all of the stotfold club and anyone else who help me on the day of my accident very much appreciated.

A great weekend of racing as always at stotfold well done all.

Thanks again Mike and Grant

Yeah the reference to crashing is about simon, who usually crashes in the first lap of a single final but this time to our surprise avoids the pile in the first lap!
We're also talking about elvo as he was doing our 5th national at the same time, needed a win to be able to stand a chance in the championship. He didn't win however, and the other guy that could win this year also didn't, so that makes me champion without driving, with still one race left So that was some good news after my H final in 4wd
