Ha Ha, I know that feeling mate!

As for the heating - just put a jumper on. That should save you a few hours work

Default Atomic Carbon = awesome!

Agreed. I got mine as well - very nice part. Now I can take the limiters out of my rear TRF shocks

I am hoping a front tower is also made - I had to put limiters in the front shocks to eliminate the strain of the bottom spring retainer pushing against the front arms.

Glad the airmail is working guys

AJ, take a look at post 30 for pics of the prototype on my car - the production tower is the same.

Now i realize why i was asking for pics after the fact that they were posted by i4n in pose #30. The first time i tried to upload them it did not work. I just tried now once again and was able to see pic 2 of 4 the other 3 don't work for some reason. Nonetheless the rear tower looks very nice. If i go to the Carbon site will i be able to get a shipping estimate to the states? The price of shipping from the U.K. to the U.S. is my main reason for being as hesitant as i have been. For some reason i can see the shipping total being close to the price of the tower. This of course is not your problem. Thanks.

I just bought the final tower from Jonathan, and he's nice enough to ship it all the way to the US.
Does anyone know if he's planning on doing a second run of them or start selling them regularly on the website? I suspect I'll eventually break mine

Anybody? 25mm or 30mm M3 screws for the rear shock top mount? What is the neatest? I haven't got any to try in my spares box and as I'm away at the moment I wanted to order some so they'll be on the doormat for when I get home.

I use a 25mm countersunk screw, with C/S washer, then a 3mm blue spacer, M3 plain nut, then the normal mounting hardware. If Ian is racing this Sunday, I will get him to take a pic of mine for you.

I did mine differently to DCM.

I used these: http://www.modelfixings.co.uk/high_t...steel_caps.htm in the M3 30mm size but they only have a 20mm thread so I used them through the tower with some spacers I had lying around (HPI purple ones), then the normal mounting hardware and then then nut (if that makes sense). There is about 5mm thread poking out the end on mine so a 25mm screw will be fine but I like to have the security of some extra thread sticking out of the nut (old habits die hard eh Steve )

DCM has probably done a better job so may go over to his way (seems similar to how the rear shock on my XXX-CR mount).

I'll get a picture on Sunday and pop it onto the thread.

Ian

Here's the picture of DCMs monster!

mrbiccies - the thread is closed for purchasing towers (you're about 3 months too late I'm afraid). If you want one get in contact with Jonathan from Atomic Carbon. I know he made some extra to keep in stock so he's your best bet. His contact details are on the Atomic Carbon website or PM oldtimer on here.
