Electrics for Cat?
Appologies, im sure this has been asked a million times and im also sure that a lot of this is down to personal prefference....but...
what motor/controller would you recommend to someone (erm..me) who hasnt raced for quite a while for a lipo cat? Im on a bit of a budget 'cos starting again aint cheap of course but also i dont want to be kicking myself if im miles off the pace or going up in smoke! Im running Ko 40fm radio gear and have read other threads which note that Novak kit can interfere with it. Any advice would be appreciated, Cheers...C'nslow. |

7.5 brushless and decent lipo (25C+ discharge, 4000mAh). My personal preference is trakpower, but most ones on the new BRCA list should be fine to go for, (the Lipo that is).
I also used the Novak motors and speedo's, but have just got a new Tekin RS sensored brushless speedo to try, as it can be programmed using the PC. You could also look at Nosram/LRP (near identical), Tekin, Novak, are all good makes. HTH Mark

I'm running a 23 with a 6.5 and its fine.
Can't go wrong with the Nosram Matrix speedo and Nosram brushless 6/7.5. Great customer service at mirage too. |

Definatly can say good things for the Nosram ISTC speedo!
I use a Speed Passion 5.5t in my cat! No means a slouch
