Ran my CR at the Proline on Wednesday. The extra weight on the car is 146 grams of Rudebits plus the Ghea bulkhead (not sure of the weight) and 28 grams of lead putty inside the front bulkhead.

The car was really well balanced and felt good over the bumps and jumps. I will be trying some other stuff on Saturday ready for racing on Sunday at the "King of Dirt".

Regarding the Hydra drive, what oil are you using in it since you can't get the losi stuff anymore?

Been having at the idler gear mod on and off for a few nights now...not easy is it!?

Started with purple spur, couldn't get the top motor screw in. Ended up doing as Ash did and using Yellow.

It is a shame the idlers aren't a touch wider than they are, otherwise it would be possible to offset the motor pinion and the spur so they are overlapping but not touching. This would mean a whole lot less tedious dremelling with an engraving tool!

Got my 2 piece tower. One quuestion.

Is this right? If i was to put them on the car the right hand one (as you look at the car from the front) would have the three holes midway up the tower on the front. Is this right or have i got two left ones?

pics...

Is there a reason for the holes midway on the shock tower?
Anything supposed to bolt to them?

Avner.

they're not holes mate, just marks so you can identify the extra droop towers from the std ones easily

With the 78 Spur, and the idler mod, what are people gearing at?

There seems to be a limited number of pinion options due to modifying the motor plate.

Spot on, and the 3 holes = 3mm lower mounting of the shock on the tower, over the standard shock tower, which gives the xtra droop.

I have something in the works re the extra idler gear, so once its been tested i will post details, as well as some other new parts for the CR2.
