LOL

If there was that much profit in the R/C Industry to do that you would not see me on the PC most nights at gone 11pm talking to customers via PM's and on forums etc, I would be out crusing around in my Ferrari......

As it happens I have been at our Chiltern MId South BRCA regional meeting all night and only got back about an hour or so ago instead....

I know that Ross Mods have to show stock so that people can pre order on line.
As there system won’t let people pre order without stock.
There not tying to fool people into thinking they have them in stock.
They will get them at the same time as everyone else.

As Darren said, we will see when it matters.

I for one will be ordering from a shop that actualy carries the spares IN STOCK and can give helpfull advice in an area they know very well. I dont mind paying an extra £1 or two as its not all about price.

Jamie....

very very cool design ... i got my local in australia to order me one of the pro cf spec kits today. Gotta have the CF bling and them big bores look outstanding.. also wondering if the S1 kit is running cheaper bearings and missing out on the titanium bits.

Its not just about price guys, its about supporting your local/favoured stores with your loyal custom, choosing a store who WILL be able to deliver when they are in demand (from stock), a store who will offer all the spares and support (from stock) and will be able to supply quickly and give knowlegable help and advice when needed to compliment the purchase.... I am sure ALL the regular shops up and down the country will ALL sell these really well (even if they are a pound higher or two here or there).

Our shop price is amongst the cheapest on some variants of the car (even with p and p ) and slightly more than some on other variants, but we have still taken lots of pre-orders across the board on all four models today. Some will get posted out to mail order customers (who will pay the postage) and other will be collected in store when they arrive and benefit from our cheaper price without postage (since not EVERYONE uses mail order).

I am sure that some shops will beat the next by whatever it takes to claim to be "cheapest" but will they have them in stock when it counts.... we will see.

Good thing is from Schumachers point of view, LOTS of interest and pre-orders from LOTS of thier shops/dealers

Edit, I must chuckle though at some of the stores websites who are showing it as IN STOCK already (gotta love inaccurate stock checkers....)
I have to agree with Darren its not always about the price, its about customer service & aftersales support, we have taken pre-order before it was officaly anounced!!!!

I do not charge delivery for kits as 90% of my business is mail order, I can understand why Darren charges postage ontop, as he gets a lot of instore customers.

As always with a new kit release, numbers will be limited & there will be a high demand, especialy when it looks as good as this, if some shops want to sell them & make a £10 profit, thats upto them

Hey guys i've just been reading some of the earlier comments about price matching and all of that and I think DMS raised some good points! We currently list the different cougars as in stock so people can pre-order them, not because we are claiming to have them or that we are in some way more exclusive than anyone else.

Rossendale Models is most well known for large scale r/c. However, we have done 1/8th and 1/10th in the past, very successfully too, and we are looking to get back into these scenes once again. The more of you guys support us, the better the prices will be and the more stock we will carry, so everybody wins.

Back to pricing on the cougar, we will always try to match any genuine UK price so it is always worth getting in touch to talk with us. We constantly run special deals on other items too (chargers, batteries, receivers etc.), some of which may not even make it to the web before they are snatched up in store, so it is always worth giving us a call!

we are in a situation like RossMod too, were we have to show items in stock otherwise we would not be able to offer pre orders.

I'm happy with my B4, but I'm still getting a Cougar.

BMAX-4 standard going up for sale as I can't be bothered with it.

what may be the purpose of the fact that the diff can be mounted higher and lower?
WHy should one do this? What is the advantage of this feature?

as in the X6, altering the height of the diff can generate more grip (or less grip).

Would I notice?

Probably not.

the further the diff is away from the lower hinge pin (higher diff) the more driveshaft plunge you get and the 'stiffer' the rear end is on power

I've moved it on my x6 in the past and was amazed how much difference i did notice...I didn't expect to notice it at all!

Can def see why it'd be useful.

So if you lower it, you'll then loose grip/traction. What benefits do you then gain when the diff is lower? It must have advantages and disadvantages for both positions and i've probably read it somewhere, but can't remember . . .
