Default Corona 2.4Ghz Systems

Hi,

Has anyone on here ever used one of these systems? They seem very cheap for a 2.4 system. And I am obviously thinking, too cheap to be any good

Here is the link to the one i was looking at:
(Hope I am allowed to put ebay links on here? if not please tell me and i will remove)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

I've used this before, it works flawlessly and yes it's cheap. There's another brand that is cheap and very good as well. It's the Assan 2.4GHz module and receiver.

no problem with mine, only downside is that the plugs go in the end not on the top, makes positioning a little bit different

Ok cool, cheers guy's. What about the reciever's? Are they expensive on their own as i can seem to find them? I guess they are not?

I have also just read about V2 and V1 versions and that V2 rx's are not compatible with V1 modules?? This is getting confusing now?? It looks as the the one on my ebay link in my first post is probably version 1 then??

Default Corona are excelent

I would recommend them, I have them in 4 of my cars and just swap the module on futaba 3vcs transmitter depending on what car I'm using,

You can buy them direct at www.rcecho.com for less than £20 for a module and a receiver

heres the link: http://www.rcecho.com/product.php?pr...6&cat=0&page=2

Or if you would rather buy them from him via eBay then his id is compassho2005,

Although they are a little cheaper via his site

I'm about to order another 2 for my 1/10th cars,

If you look in the lrp part of forum under "show me your lrp cars" you will see 3 of my cars there and they are all using corona modules and receivers.

Hi,

I bought 2 modules and 2 receiver, for both my electric cars (an SC and 2WD buggy).
I tried them at home and on first race I realised that with many radios present the right aerial is the one that has to be up.

First race I didn't feel any problema, and next two training sessions neither.

On 2nd race, both systems showed faults (on same track were I've been training without problems).

At home, on basement shows no interference, but on street fails a lot now.
Less then 50mt away starts failing and even fails some times 5mt away.

Did any of you had problems like this before ?
Is there any solution?

thanks for any help
