Tyres and shock oil
Just trying to stock up on a few things guys, can anyone advise what tyres and shock oil weight works best at Seaham? Just want to try and keep us both on the track as much as possible.
Don't think we will have anytime between Xmas and our first meeting to do much stripping down and rebuilding so will probably run as we are to begin with, just trying to slowly build up things we will need. |

We will probably be running a B4 and a B44, maybe a Caster sk10.

For tyres, most people use yellow schumacher minispikes, shock oils vary between cars, I'd have a look at the associated section in the setup thread and see what is being used indoors at various venues and start from there. I also wouldn't worry too much if you haven't got a specific shock oil on the day as most of us have it.

B44 front, associated 1 hole piston with 40w oil (may be 35w if tyres are worn)
Rear, associated 2 hole piston (i preferred Losi orange) with 30w oil B4 Front associated 1 hole piston with 40w oil ( again 35w if really slippy) Rear, associated 2 hole piston with 35w Try that for a starting point, play with the wheel base on the b44 from middle to short depending on track, makes a big difference.

Standard starting UK setup for a B4 is 35w/2 in the front and 30w/1 in the back, silver springs all round. B44 start with something like 40w/2 with silver springs up front and 30/1 with greens at the back |
