Default B4.1 Ride height question

Dear Everyone.

I just finished the new B4.1 FT but there is question about ride height.

After i assemble and install all electronics, but rear ride height is still high above dog bone level although loosening the shock dial fully.

is it right? or is there something wrong?

For more infomation, i am using the lrp vector brushless motor and SXX tc speedo, and battery weight is about 240g. (li-po) and no additional weight.
Others are all kit set-up.

and i re-check the manual and kit, but there is no incorrect point.

Please help me.

Hi! Ideally I would try and get some ballast under the lipo battery. You can either get some lead or brass sheet to put under there. i would put around 75-100g under there personally, this will help with both the stability of the car, and should weight the car down a bit.

The other option is to cut the springs down a little bit, but I have never had to do this myself.

What size motor is in there? Is it a full 540 size? can you measure the diameter of the motor and let us know? I heavier motor will also push the back of the car down a bit.

Have a look at the shock spring cups you are using. there are two types one is taller and gives more height to the spring it can be hard to make the rear end low enough using the taller ones. ASC9724 Team Associated Offset Spring Cups (B44) are the taller of the two.

Thanks for reply.

B4.1FT kit includes a offset spring cup as standard.
But, B4.1 RTR kit includes the nomal spring cup as standard.

How about my battery's weight? (240g)
Is it too much light?

Do you have the shock bottom/spring cups on upside-down ?
Try taking them off turning them over and try them back on the shaft

By using the non-offset spring cups i managed to lower my ride by 2-3mm. I have 24mm rear with silver springs.

A few of the B4.1 FT kits have been coming with 4 of the offset spring cups instead of 2 offset and 2 standard which makes it impossible to get the rear low enough.

You need to order AE part number 6475 which will get you 4 standard spring cups (2 spare ) and the spring seat rings that keep the spring sitting correctly on the older spring cups.

I applied the non offset spring cup(6475) at the rear arm.
But there spring cup slightly touch the rear arm.
Is it OK?
