Andy I am t total as have a baby on way!
Just getting pissed off that team X missed an email (terrible)
Fabs sells you a car that doesn't work MCS . And does nothing about it (I love him.... Poor fabs) see the two comparisons!
A good example of this is t8rtots last post
And for you info tartot . Lewis is my brother.. Which is nothing to do with you
Your wrong
This mcs thread is full of people bashing team x / vega for no good reason other than they also make a conversion for an rb5 ... One that works at that!
And I have had enough of hearing it especially as fabs was offered help out of the kindness of me and my brother.
Tartot have you ever tried resending them?
Or going on the pred . Com for problems?
Tartot I bet you couldn't answer 1-200 emails as you say daily whilst doing all that I listed in my earlier post. If you think you can your wrong! There really are not enough hours in the day.
As for unless I am responsible for team X issues ....... If everyone just spoke about what they were responsible for there wouldn't be a forum
If you read your last post it is propperly hypocritical
Hopefully rant over lol

I can speak from personal experience when i say" As far as I'm converned I know which car I'd rather have, I made my choice ( see my sig'). I just want the white elephant/chocolate tea pot with the gearbox made of cheese sold so i can at least re-coup some of my losses. As far as service goes Team X has been nothing but helpful, when i bent my front posts (the first ones were too thin) i got my replacement FREE, when i broke a shock tower a new one was delivered in a few days. Will I get my replacement MCS gearbox for FREE? as it was a design error what do you think? Fabs are you ever gonna make a gearbox? If not just say so and we can all get on with sorting it out instead of waiting around like mushrooms(kept in the dark and fed on s**t)

No I am not a sponsored driver by the way.

Haha reread my post, I should've known better than to argue with simpletons. I shouldn't have to hop around on different websites, or resend emails. Wtf kind if service is that. I said I take 200 orders not emails. And my emails were for parts that I needed to keep my car running..sounds just like the situation Fabs is putting his costumers in. again you need to to stop, rethink before you start to spiel meaningless nonsense.

But since u just admitted that you have nothing to with team x, and you obviously have no idea how a business works and its not all 8hr days and sunshine. And I can speak on this matter because 1-you state team x is excellent, false, I know that isn't true with first hand experience. 2-i know what it is like to provide a good service for customers, and obviously, with the excuses and horrible solutions you've provided, that's something you do know nothing about

And I doubt in all seriousness that the vega cars are being made at a loss. The profit margin may not be huge but team x isn't losing money

T8rtot ......your perfectness Lol. love the assumptions .
Yeah I know nothing me!
Do you personally make all those hundreds of orders you deal with daily? Actually I do not care.
And I said virtual loss
This is off topic
And very personal (childish) which is what children do when they can't get their own way lol
The vega was designed , run then sold in 3 weeks of original idea. and works all made in the uk ( cause the uk is the best )
Mcs need to stop comparing them to vega's Simple.
Look no spelling mistakes.... Not bad for a simpleton lol

Im sorry but all these posts are pointless??!??

My MCS is still ok.. and works well for me..

The Vega is a good car YES... but ive gone back to the MCS because i prefer it My Vega is a shelf queen for now..

Fabs will sort these gearboxes and im more than happy to wait... because i know for a fact the wait WILL be worth while! the quality of these gearboxes when they appear will be top notch.. trust me!!

Lets get back on topic.. this is the Mid Custom Special thread...

Think the mods need to close this thread down, its just becoming a bashing match and nothing to do with its original intention...

Default Vega

As a mcs holder!!!(not user) I would give my right nut to have a vega.........
My brother in law simonw has ran the mcs and now runs the vega, he has improved so much since he changed over, plus the main sellin point for me is the metal g/box
If I could choose to buy either one the VEGA wins hands down every time
That said i cant afford one....brought the mcs then was laid off, so I have no choice but to mod n mod so I can run my 2wd.......

MCS's fantasy direct live :
just back from a "CNC company" (>200km), i've submit all the stuff to know how much for 1, 10 & 20 alloy boxes.
i can give a price in few days i think.
so, if some peoples are interested :
i'm gonna do one for me (to test resistance, etc... but they seem to be good professionnals) & after i can 'do' & send others.
i do it by passion and enjoying to share it, no money to win, just a car that yours.

mcs is everybody's baby now, Fab's forget us, i do the same. (just talking fo myself)
even i'll buy a Vega, i want the MCS running!

if you're asking me, just the gearbox.
but i'm thinking about a second (longer) chassis, for my ultima DB.
suitable with the gear box of course. (...then a saddle kit could be interesting)
and why not build other parts if needed, everything is possible!

when the school re-start, i've an other contact as a 'technic professor' who had some equipment...

bye, soon back!

sam

hi!

some details :

i'm still waiting for the prices (design & product).
then, i call the 'factory' tormorrow afternoon if no answer in the morning.

question : there is two possibilties for the design.

a 'poor' one : i mean a box like a "cube", but cheaper (less design cost) that you can hand-design yourself with a 'Dremel', etc... (but suitable the MCS without doing it of course).

a 'deluxe' one : designed 'lighter', weightless without doing anything. but expensiver.

personnal question : what's the best to diffuse warm?
with 'hand-design', it could be interesting for self-balancing, isn't it?

so, it will be easyer to decide when we'll know the differents prices
till that, if you have advices or anything to say before havin' prices and doing the first one, i'm open!

(box expected today : 8)

bye!

p.s :
Fab's, i had prefere you're doing this job, you've all the plans and it's your baby.
then i'm doing it, fortunetly, spending time and money.
and from you : no answer, no protestation, no help, no...thing.
you can say "hey, it's done! i have somes (now or in few days)!"
i really don't understand.
hoppin' you'll be back to reality because some people still running with the MCS.
if you don't want to be friendly, no problem. but be professional.

Please everybody be patient!!

Everyone just sit tight.. i have it in good authority that its just round the corner the solution i have seen a pic

Just to let people know, my gearbox let go at the weekend... i was running 2 classes so as you can imagine didnt have much spare time... anyway stripped the box down... checked the internals.. 1st idler was missing a tooth and thats it... as a precaution i re-seated both idlers in the bosses as i have before, cleaned and refitted everything.. gearbox was better than ever, nice and smooth so reckon the idler was on its way out...thinking about it, it must have been, as it sounded like diff slip when i applied the brakes and it just got worse.. slipper was too loose as well i feel.. Hopefully a hassle free Oz this weekend!
