Problem with TRF 501X
Hi,
I need your help to solve my trouble with my TRF 501X. When I use my TRF 501X I break frequently the drive belt and ruin the center pulley. The maximun number of battery that i can made is 15. I have tried to loosen the tension of the drive belt of 1 or 2 click but the outcome don't changed. I tried many adjustement of the slipper clutch, but the outcome is always the same. I would like to know how you adjust the slipper clutch. I also tried the new drive 18T and 37T but the outcome don't change, rather, I have more trouble to set the eccentric belt tensioner. I am a beginner and I have more trouble, but when I succeed to drive my TRF 501X is fantastic! I hope that someone can help me... Thanks a lot |

Have you got the diffs in the correct way? If you havent then the belt will not be running straight and rubbing on the slipper and jumping out of the gears.

I had a mistake with mine, I put the diffs in the wrong way. There is a short and long out drive. The diff gear is off set and if you dont put it in correct then the belt doesnt run straight. IF it is incorrect then the belt runs on the back of the slipper and this makes the belt jump as it rides up.

Is everything running free? To be honest I have not had it slip other than when I put them in wrong. Could you take any pics of the drive train? This would help me.
