Someone has already tried the AE gear diff and it doesn't fit in a X2c gearbox. The original B4 diff is smaller than the B4.1 diff which is the same size as the gear diff used in the SC10/ b4.1 I believe.
Just have to hold tight for the team c one, personally I haven't had many problems with the ball one though.

if you rebuild the standard diff with 1/16" carbide balls in the thrust race and 3/32" in the main diff it will be silky smooth and last for quite a while

I've just ordered a associated SC10 B4.1 gear diff cause i'm unable to setup de ball diff right. The locknut for diff screw doesn't fit into the locknut holder.
So i left the locknut holder out but i'm unable to tighten the diff screw as it should be, meaning diff is a bit loose when hitting full throttle to start running. Hoping the associated gear diff will fit the diffcase to have a good working diff. |

Do you know when Ansmann or Team C will have them?

Seen last autumn on a french local race:
A very personal adaptation of a Team Associated gear diff in a Macnum. The modifications are based on cut flat aluminum parts. I don't remerber the name of the artist! |

I see on area 52 some time ago this news
Team C is currently testing an optional gear differential to used over the stock ball differential when needed. Gear differentials are a common sight these days in 2WD buggies and SC trucks as they are easy to fine tune, long lasting and also make for very good acceleration on grippy tracks. The diff sits in a prototype gear box (that's the white part) but will very likely come with the usual black colour part once it becomes available for public. Team C has not released any official information on availability yet but according to Axel Toivonen of Euro RC the option part may be available later this Spring and of course fits the Team C 2WD Short Course trucks also. And know i would like to now when this news will arrived.
