JC has loads off colours to play with. Orange was a colour that looks nice with CF, although saying that the blue looks good too.

Hi Gaz,
I have an S2-Evo to play with and like JC has said he can make any shape he wants, so we can test any configuration possible. I was not happy with the kit C4.1 chassis in a few different ways (cost being one of them), so I have had some aluminium ones made. The S2-Evo is backwards compatible so yes this is what we were speaking about with my C4.1 Setup.

Nylon needs to high a temperature (600F / 320C ) to extrude with my machine, and also gives off toxic fumes as well so not to nice, my machine use's PLA.

I was reading somewhere of someone testing PLA components for quadrotors had to redesign for thread strength - might hold up in a car application though

Thing is, the orange parts are produced on a 3D printer, and 3D printers don't really produce volume manufactured quality parts.
They are primarily designed for producing 1 off prototype parts, and are just about good enough to do simple fit and function testing, to help prove an idea is viable before committing to large scale manufacturing investment, and not really for long term or high performance strength. The material is not the whole story, the process the part is produced with is another factor, and the type of process Jonathon is using is not really a high strength process. Not only that, but the cost of parts off a 3D printer is relatively high...so not the sort of process you'd want to make any volume of parts in either! I'm sure final production parts will be machined from solid rather than printed!
