I think the main thing is to get them worn to the point they grip into the wood (both spikes and pins).

I was wondering if a block pattern might even be ideal, though not sure what to go for on those stakes.

Just be sure you have some worn tyres with you as new take about 2-3 runs to kick in.

Stayed on the worn pins last night, managed to get the car really nice, got down to 16.54 (IIRC) lap time at best. Biggest help for me is now playing with weight on the front and rear, and working on the consistencey!

Anyway, good to see I'm pretty well in line with yours and it's the driving ability that I'm lacking

Oh! one last question. What tyres were you running? I was using Bally Mini Spike Whites on the rear, no spikes cut and found them just marginally better than Schuy Yellow's. Cut low profile Schuy Yellow Staggered fronts.
Sorry for late reply. I used dboots nanobyte's (B compound) at Southport, which were really good. I tried standard uncut staggers on the front for a few rounds, but preferred dboots. I did coat a layer of glue on the front outside tyre wall, to smooth out the steering.

Hi mate,

i run the ball diff just tight enough so it doesnt slip. No mods at all. No mods you can do with a ball diff really, just make sure it's smooth and not slipping.

I never said worn tyres weren't faster I said pins were faster. And check the lap times out myself and Elliot boots were the only drivers in the 15 sec Lap times and we both were on pins.

And as for the final two finals lower than the cars pace was an excelent opportunity to scrub a set if tyres.

Sorry, yes i do use a different circlip. It's a Durango part but not sure if it's available yet. Could be a running change but im not 100% sure. To be honest though, ive never had an issue with the kit standard one. As long as you make sure to push the circlip all the way into the grooves of the outdrive, you shouldnt have a problem. Follow the diff build guide on the TD website of your unsure.

Default what's the deal with weights?

Everyone appears to be using heavier bulkheads, and weighing the car down. Is that the way to go?
